HYDRAULIC POWER

Hydraulic power units (HPUs)

Custom hydraulic power units designed and built at our workshop in Singapore, 3,000 psi as standard, with higher pressures built to order, and motors of 30 kW and above. Built with Rexroth and Parker components, including hazardous-area versions with Ex motors and ATEX control panels, and offshore builds.

THE APPLICATION

Start with the driven equipment

An HPU supplies and controls hydraulic fluid for cylinders, motors or other fluid-power equipment. Pump, motor, reservoir, valves, filtration and controls must be considered together with the pressure and flow required at the end device.

PS Technology provides hydraulic power units for project-specific duties. The design brief should describe the operating sequence, simultaneous functions, duty cycle and installation environment, not only a headline pressure. Those inputs shape the hydraulic circuit and physical package.

We match pump flow and motor power to the pressure and duty required, so the unit is sized for the job rather than oversized.

Is pressure alone enough to size an HPU?

No. Flow, operating sequence and running time matter alongside pressure. A circuit diagram or a description of the machine cycle helps turn the requirement into a workable package.

APPLICATIONS

Typical applications

  • Winch operation
  • Oil and gas field operations
  • Pressure and function testing
  • Hydraulic tooling and actuators
  • Offshore and marine equipment

SYSTEM

What's on a typical HPU

  • Pumps, valves and components from Rexroth and Parker
  • 3,000 psi standard working pressure, with higher pressures built to order
  • Electric motors from small units to 30 kW and above
  • Flow rate matched to motor power and required pressure
  • Stainless steel reservoir option
  • Oil coolers and accumulators
  • Ex motors and ATEX control panels for hazardous areas
  • Local or remote control
  • Offshore builds to DNV requirements on request
  • Built with our in-house Metalclave high-pressure fittings

HPUs supplied to TechnipFMC, Halliburton and Baker Hughes for winch operation, field operations and testing.

Define the hydraulic duty

  1. Load and movement

Share actuator sizes, required force or torque, speed and stroke or rotation.

  2. Operating pattern

Explain how often functions run and whether they operate together.

  3. Controls and site

Describe electrical supply, controls, environment and maintenance access.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What pressure and power range do your HPUs cover?

Our standard HPUs work at 3,000 psi, and we build higher-pressure units to order. Electric motors range from small units to 30 kW and above, with flow rate matched to the motor power and the pressure your equipment needs.

Which component brands do you use?

We build with Rexroth and Parker pumps, valves and components, and our own Metalclave high-pressure fittings.

Can you build HPUs for hazardous areas or offshore use?

Yes. We build hazardous-area versions with Ex motors and ATEX control panels, and offshore units to DNV requirements on request.

Who have you supplied HPUs to?

Our HPUs have been supplied to TechnipFMC, Halliburton and Baker Hughes for winch operation, field operations and testing.

Where are your HPUs built, and do you supply overseas?

At our workshop in Defu Lane, Singapore. We supply customers in Singapore and overseas, including Malaysia, Australia and China.

Do you also service existing HPUs?

Yes. We inspect, troubleshoot, overhaul and supply spares for existing HPUs, on site or at our workshop.
